Introduction

I created this course from my own work, my own experiences, and what I’ve seen again and again in people struggling with money, not just financially, but emotionally.

You’ll need a journal or notebook. If you are doing this as a couple, or if you are spearheading a group, I encourage all participants to have their own notebook.

A word for couples: This is not a right/wrong. I’m sure there’s already quite a bit of anxiety around money so this micro-course should help you to see through your spouses lens, with compassion.

In full transparency, I did use AI as an editor to help tighten this up, because I can get a little (lot!) wordy and I wanted this to feel clear and easy to move through. But the heart of this, the ideas, the way it’s laid out, that’s all me.

This isn’t a course that’s going to tell you exactly what to do with your money. There are plenty of those out there. This is something different.

This is meant to help you slow down and really look at how you feel about money. The stress, the patterns, the habits, the thoughts you might not even realize are running in the background. Because most of the time, that’s where things actually start.

A few parts of this come from my book How to Heal Financial Anxiety. That work is a big part of how I understand money and emotional safety, so it naturally made its way in here.

Take your time with this. You don’t need to rush through it. Just let yourself be honest as you go.
