A professional training program that teaches therapists, financial professionals, coaches, and helping careers, how to guide individuals and couples through the emotional and psychological roots of financial stress.
Learn the The Heal Financial Anxiety framework and build a meaningful, sustainable practice helping people transform their relationship with money.
The Heal Financial Anxiety Practitioner Certification is a 12-week guided program delivered through short, bite-sized lessons. New lessons are released weekly, and participants have up to one year to complete the program.
This certification includes light writing assignments throughout the course. Participants will submit short reflections as they move through the material and complete a final research paper of approximately 2,500 words at the end of the program. The writing is reflective and practical rather than academic.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive the designation: Certified Financial Anxiety Practitioner (CFAP) Graduates are also eligible to join FinwellToday professional network for practitioners working in finance.
Because this program provides immediate access to digital course materials, all enrollments are final and non-refundable.
By enrolling, you acknowledge that you understand the course structure, writing expectations, and refund policy.
The certification includes training for working with both individuals and couples, and participants receive two designations upon completion.
A Growing and Prosperous Field
Financial anxiety affects people across all income levels.
Behind overspending, avoidance, debt, and financial conflict are emotional patterns that most financial advice never addresses.
Professionals who understand the psychology of money are increasingly sought out by individuals and couples who want lasting change.
This certification prepares you to meet that need while building a prosperous and meaningful practice.
How This Certification is Different
Most certification programs teach a method but offer little support for building a practice.
This program was created by Michele Paiva, a transpersonal psychologist, neuromarketing specialist, and publicist with more than three decades of experience in behavioral communication, journalism and media strategy.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Participants receive guidance not only in the Heal Financial Anxiety Framework, but also in how to position their work, communicate their message, and grow a professional practice.
Not based on Paiva’s experience only, but years of working with professionals and companies, across many occupations.
The Details|What to Expect

A Turnkey Practice Model
Graduates leave with a framework they can use immediately.
Practitioners may offer:
- Individual financial therapy sessions
- Couples financial counseling or coaching
- Group programs and workshops
- Financial wellness education
The certification provides both the method and the structure to support a professional offering.
Many financial wellness programs focus primarily on budgeting techniques or “money mindset” strategies.
The Heal Financial Anxiety Framework takes a broader perspective. It was developed through decades of professional work with clients and lived experience navigating the financial realities of adult life, including home ownership, investments, raising families, funding education, and guiding multiple generations in financial decision making.
This perspective helps practitioners understand the emotional and relational dimensions of money across the full course of life

These advanced tracks will allow practitioners to develop focused expertise while continuing to build their financial therapy practice.
